ok help again and thanks for all the help in the past

ok i need to do a cable clutch conversion its a 75 mav, 302 ( very built ) center force clutch and p. plate, and t-10 trans i'm looking at a cable conv kit

    http://www.moderndriveline.com/catalog/clutch_cables.htm

now it seems to me that everyone is talking about the cable being set up to "pull" the pickle fork rather then "push" it like ours needs. Am i just miss understanding what this thread is talking about?or do i need to set this up so that the cable will have a solid mount to the transmision and " pull" back? or a solid mount to the bell housing and "push" it back?.

please pardon my ignorance on this

    thanks
    Tim

My '86 2.3 bell housing has the clutch cable adjustment on the bell. It's very nice since you don't have to put the adjuster on the firewall. The only PIA is that it interferes with the pinto cross member. Anyway, just some more 80s T5 trivia knowledge.

    Timmyothy,

The cable clutch systems are only for bellhousings that were originally made for cable activation. Pinto's, Mustang II's, and fox body cars(79+ mustangs etc)had clutch cables. I have not heard of anyone converting a traditional push type pickle fork bell housing to a cable system, but I'm sure someone has at least tried.
Most of us are trying to use a T-5 or modern style transmission with a bellhousing intended for cable activation in our Mavericks. That is also what the moderndriveline kit is for.
Does your clutch system work now?

    ATOmonkey,

Great start! I can't wait to track the progress on the cardomain pages.

That is the Wolfe Racecraft pro clutch pedal assembly. Welds to the floor (preferably with a crossmember welded in under it) and uses a linkage rod for the clutch.

I have a very slight problem with my brake peddle & the rod that comes out the brake booster dont line up with mu brake peddle. The rod needs to bend toward the passenger side about an inch to allow the peddle box to line up with the 4 studs on the firewall. Is there a difference in the rod for power brake boooster & manual brakes? The peddles came out of a car without power brakes & I have power brakes.

Thanks, that's what the difference is. This has been a nightmare. I guess my fabrication skill has increased. Any ideas on how to move the rod over. The rod that goes with the peddles will not work either if I read the right.
