Glad the shackles are going. The stance is great. The shackle look is bad....

If you want to keep the shackles, drop them to the hole that is closest to the frame, that way your springs aren't flat. It will still give you a little lift over stock, but won't be as dangerous. With them all the way up like that, you stand a good chance of them collapsing sideways in a turn. Not to mention with them all the way up like that, they are destroying the arc in the springs.....

Got shackles on my comet on the first hole (about an inch over stock), lovin the side pipes BTW, x2 on watchin your legs, I learned that the hard way LOL
What size are the meats?

 

I took luverne stepboards from a truck and cut them and made brackets/

Well, for my tastes, I have decided that side pipes are definately NOT in the future for my Mavericks. The rear shackels have never been my style. I would rather lower the front and have the springs arced to get the stance I want.

 

i don't know i have had shackles on my mav for the last 10+ years. i have leaned real hard on them and all is well. i say run what you want to run. i like the look my self
