    Dear Forum,
After several years of not working on the Comet, my boy has the bug... We put together an old motor but have run into the Exhaust Manifold problem of not having the right set. I know the Mav exhaust manifold(driver side) shoots straight out the back and towards the collector theres a boss of some sort for a bolt or heater pipe...not sure, but the early mustang also shoots straight back but without that boss... Has anyone used one of these on your car? Also If you have a set maybe... Thanks in advance, I'm sure my son and I will return many times to this great resource on this new venture... rather adventure...

With all the manifolds they made... One of the things I've done for years and years is scroung through junkyards utilizing things that work. So many times you here "only the maverick manifold will work". That's only until someone finds something else that will work. It also may be true... Until I run into the original why not look at options. Ehaust manifolds are something that have always intrigued me. Old factory performance manifolds are extremely cool in my book... Anyway, here's the mustang manifold. I've got to clear the trans linkage. This looks like it could work... there are many of this style. So none of these will work?

all mustang manifolds I've tried the driver side outlet is too straight back, the header pipe runs into the firewall.
