specs are seen below, ive called both elgin cam numbers and couldnt find anything about what valve springs to use 1st number brought me to a special ordering place and he said "i have no clue what valve springs, call this number" 2nd number brought me to the elgin headquarters, secretary answered and i told her to get me the boss She said she will have him call me back, hopefully ill beable to find the right valve springs, i have even tried looking up the supposible "part number" and still nothing. Guess im off to the high performance shop in bowling green, they will know what to do. If anyone has close to the specs below, could you tell me what springs you are running?:16suspect

got some comp cam springs for tooheys high performance, should be in thursday, 80 bucks.... btw the manager called me back and gave me yet another number and this number was not in service. I will never deal with this company again
Why did you get a cam from them? they look like a small shop that custom grinds cams, for detailed engine builders...
I have a Competition Cams Xtreme Energy 274 in my new 393 Cleveland and my engine builder simply gave Comp Cams a call and got the matching valve springs designed for the cam the next day. Maybe you would be better off dealing with a larger cam company
I don't understand why you were calling Elgin for, you've got a Comp Cams cam there. P/N for their matching springs is 942-16. And really, new stock springs will also work fine with the 268H.
yes it is a comp cam too, they discontinued the cam i got from elgin. It was between comp cam and elgin and i picked the one the guy suggested:16suspect
If you bought new ones, run em. If you didn't or you want to send em back and get the moola for em, run the stockers. And actually, I'd run the stock roller springs with it,if you have to make a choice between stock springs, they're actually softer than the 942-16's specs.
