Mustang uses the same frame mount. (I have both cars)

170/200 6-Cylinder Mavericks use same mounts as a Mustang ... V8 Mavericks have unique mounts ...

:D Mine was an original 170 car so thats why it was the same. Its been awhile since I was under the hood of a v8/manual car. Sorry for the error.

I used a very early Stang/Falcon frame mount on my 75 when I converted it to manual.
I don't know the exact year, should be around 65-66, but it went on and married to the Maverick Z-bar perfectly.
Wish I had more info to back it up, but this was 15 years ago and I used a hodge-podge of parts to do the conversion.
This is one part that I remember well not having to modify.

FYI ... don't start your manual tranny conversion until you have ALL the parts ... or your car may be out of commission for a long time ... you can buy the z-bar repop ... but nobody is making the repop mounts and those are some of the hardest and rarest parts to find for a Maverick. It seems most people who paid the extra $$$ for the V8 option also paid the extra $$$ for the Automatic as well ..

Anybody got a list of exactly what parts are needed for the swap?

Or you can just use all early Mustang parts. My whole setup is from a 66 Mustang, but it looks to me like the 70 Mustang z-bar would fit even better.

I tried that, nothing fit right...
You must have done quite a bit of work to it.
The pedal support didn't even go in.
I had to hybrid the Stang pedal parts into the Maverick automatic pedal support.
The 70 Stang has a much wider set of front frame rails.
So the Z-bar would be wider to reach the frame rail, would it not?

I used the stock Maverick pedals, my car was originally a manual trans. I was refering to the z-bar, block mount, frame mount, lower rod, release fork, bellhousing, etc. The only modification was to the lower arm of the z-bar for header clearance, with iron exhaust manifolds it worked fine. Don't know if the center tube of a 70 Mustang z-bar is longer, doesnt matter, nothing a hacksaw couldn't fix. The upper arm looks like it would line up better with the hole in the firewall.

    Gotcha...
I had an auto car, so I had to do all sorts of fabbing inside.
Outside, I lucked up and found a Z-bar laying in the engine compartment of a Comet at the scrap yard.
I still had to mate it to the mounts and rods of my Stang setup that didn't quite work with what I had.
On my 75 though, the Z-bar is the only stock Maverick part of the whole system... The rest is early Stang or home made.
