I am still going with the E-streets, but I just think it's interesting the two guys that have, actually, stated they ran them on their own cars have this to say: So, basically, they work... just not great. Just playing "devil's advocate" here. Again, I will learn from everyone else's mistakes and take their advice, but, the results are not consistent across the board. Only the majority opinion is prevalent. I am also a member of the FSB forum which is geared around Broncos and a lot of the guys over there love Pro-Comps. Some of them with serious rigs. Different application, but, same concept: cheap parts that do their job; even if not spectacularly. That was, actually, one of the reasons for this post. I advised a new member over there against Pro-Comps because of what I remembered about their reputation 10 years ago. I was "disagreed" with by several other members. So, I figured I'd post here, where the members are more familiar with building motors and not lift kits. Here's a couple quotes from the guys over there: BTW happy Easter to all you guys and your families. Hope it was a memorable/enjoyable day. Eric
Apparently a decent set of pro comps can be bought and at $630 to your door, very reasonably... http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-289-30...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d0606d03b&vxp=mtr
IVe purchased two pro comp products. One being a fuel pressure regulator. What a cheap piece of scrap metal. Taping it gently with a screwdriver would change fuel pressure 4 psi. Thats a ton on a carb engine. IT left me stranded on the first test drive. Not returnable. I run screaming from anything that says pro comp as a rule now. Cant imagine spending time and money for pro comp heads.
I had to get a cup of coffee just o finish the "item description." Now there's a seller who doesn't have anything to hide! He'll tell you , too! LOL! I've never seen negative spacing between lines of text before. Eric
Nowhere in that epistle was a flowchart, one of the most important considerations in choosing a cylinder head. That's coming later:16suspect
