I don't see the point of bolt-on frame connectors, considering how thin the metal of the sub-frames is on these cars.

I too would rather weld them on. Perhaps the bolt on pieces could be welded on.

So would DOM tubing lol perhaps even HREW
I just brought up tubing is stronger in all directions = better overall if you dont know the direction of bending force..

I atually haven't really seen many tubular SFC and mavericks only have like 2 or 3 off the shelf square tube SFC available..so, doesn't really matter much unless he's going custom

I just posted a set of subframe connectors in the classifieds. They were made by a member here and worked very well for those who installed them. Might be able to do a search and find them installed.

I have bolt-ons and they made a noticeable difference in stiffening the car. The rear of the bolt-on connectors wrap around and bolt to the leaf spring eye so it's a pretty solid connection. In the front I added extra bolts so that they connect to about a foot of the front subframe. Bolts are installed vertically and horizontally so they don't move in any direction. This was before I owned a mig welder so that's how I had to do it.

Check out the way Frank did his .... He used Chassis Engineering connectors, but modified them by raising them up. They pop through the floor and his rollbar mounts directly to them. This gains a bit of ground clearance, but more importantly, is a stronger install because the floor pan is now welded to them too ... see the picture in post 138.

It will take quite a bit of fabrication.

This thread is about subframe connectors, not brakes.
