Assuming air/fuel ratio is set properly what is the best way to lessen the exhaust/fuel smell that a long tubed header 302 emits? I have 6901's with thrush mufflers and a full dual exhaust but the fumes are obnoxious! Would high flow cats, h-pipe or x-pipe help? Thanks!

Are sure that air/fuel is correct? You shouldn't be smelling anything if it is. Pull the plugs and see what they look like. Are they black, do they smell like gas, are they wet? Usually if you're smelling fuel in the exhaust the engine is running way too rich.

Do you have the hood to cowl seal? If not, you will smell gas. The seal will keep fumes from getting sucked into the cowl's fresh air vent and exiting through the interior's vent

Your problem has nothing to do with the headers, unless there's an exhaust leak.

Thanks for the reply. Pulled a couple of plugs and so far they look good! I'll pull the rest of them tomorrow to see what's going on with them.
