What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    I wonder why Ford decided to spend the $$ on SS for 75% of the brightwork trim and go with cheaply anodized aluminum on the rest? The anodizing has a "pitted" look about it and must be stripped to get the aluminum trim to buff up properly.

    Probably easier to make items out of aluminum due to size and softness of the material.

    Ordered new 3-point retractable seat belts from Juliano's to go along with the new Fat Mat and carpet that I have for it. Going to heat up the garage and get after it this next week.

    I bent new Transmission lines yesterday. I only had the nut on the wrong side of the bend 2 times. A longer day than necessary again! Next time, I'll tape the nuts to the ends before starting any bends.

    yepee, got my comet started, took it around the block a few times. Got it tuned where it doesn't stall when trying to take off from idle. had to back of the fuel accel setting on the ezefi a ton. might need bigger injectors, its running at about 50% injector at idle. ran through all the gears fine, down shifts fine.

    While driving today down the I25 my coil quit, wife brought me an old coil I had laying around but no tools. Strapped the good coil on with a iPod arm band and drove her home.

    Sub-frame connector #2 is in, now to cut and fit the floor pans.

    Thanks! Built the garage, bought the car and am concentrating on getting it running like I want ($$$!) . The older I get, the more I want a lift.....

    Pics of 418w headers with 2'' primaries and 3 1/2 collecters with stock maverick suspension.Engine was moved back 1'' to make room between drag link and bellhousing for 2 tubes. You can put 10 lbs of crap in a 5 lb bag if you try hard enough .
