    I'm about to do my heater core assembly as well, can you post some pictures ? How do you do an air test on the new heater core, what did you use for caps and what pressure should I use ?

    I been pretty busy lately and didn't have internet for the last two weeks. What you have done looks really good. At your rate you'll be done in a few..years lol.. jk. Perfection by our standards takes time.
    I managed to bring my diff from my shop and placed it under the rear two days ago. So I might gain on you hahahaha..

    Make sure you center the steering gear box before you kook it up to the control valve. Made that mistake with mine.

    I have been sandblasting parts, trying to get enough of them ready to open a can of POR-15 without wasting any. Last week, I finally got to spray some POR-15. Two coats of POR-15 Satin Black, followed by a single top coat of Chassis Coat Black.

    Last night, I was able to get my spindles bolted onto the front control arms.

    More Progress last night. I managed to get the front dust shield gaskets made, and the shields, shocks and coils installed up front. I also got to install my new reproduction Autolite solenoid and battery cables. Apologies for the crappy cell phone pictures...

    I sand blasted the WHOLE front end of the car. If you don't do this, you MUST follow the preparations using Marine Clean and then Metal Ready.

    Two Coats of POR-15 Semi-Gloss Black:

    And ONE top coat of Chassis Coat Black, also made by POR-15.

    I thinned them a very small amount with the POR Solvent, and sprayed it. POR-15 must be topcoated, as it is Ultra Violet sensitive.
