    Im having some fun here. This was my worst run of the night 12.2 @119. Tried launching without a burnout, but no good, spun a lot, but still got to the stripe before the big Audi

    Fun times! I see two ways that car will be faster with the existing rear gear. Both techniques are similar to using traction control or a prgressive N2O controller to soften the "hit" to the tire.

    1. Learn to modulate the gas as you slip the clutch for the first 5-10 feet to help keep the rpm up and avoid pulling the motor down too far out of it's powerband. Works very very well on cars with bigger cams and not quite enough gear. Unfortunately, very hard on the clutch and glazes the shiznit out of the friction/wear surfaces so only used as an occasional last resort.

    2. Reduce the clutch drop rpm a bit more and learn to pedal the gas so the car spins the tire in a more controlled manner. Very easy to say.. much tougher to do(especially with higher powered cars that come up on the cam quickly/violently).. but practice makes perfect.

    Regardless of driving tricks, that car obviously needs more gear though. A decent cold ram-air system will give you another solid tenth over the open element design breathing in underhood temps. Car will be more consistent and easier to tune in hotter weather too. Good luck with it and keep all us "inquiring minds" posted on the progress.

    el cheapo shocks on the rear, 3 way adjuatable shocks on the front would likely help it a lot. looks awesome!

    Sounds promising. Do you also intend to drop the front sway bar to help with weight transfer?

    Aftermarket strut rod sure wouldn't hurt in that same regard either. Lot's of binding going on there too.

    Maybe it's been changed up but IIRC, he was using a Vic jr on his previous smaller bullet. Personally, I'd be porting that little manifold to within an inch of its life and using tall spacer(maybe a combo of tapered AND open) to increase plenum volume for such a good breathing combo like this. Or better yet.. move to a mildly/moderately ported Super Vic to pump up the volume. Especially with the shorter rear gear being installed now.
