I run my caster farther forward to put my weight more towards the rear and my toe slightly inward seems to work well. Stock bottom end 302 running low 12s at the track
For a drag car you always want the top of your tires toed in slightly, this will make the car want to go straight.
Originally the non-power steering cars use negative caster, that helps them turn easier. I changed mine to positive caster, makes it a little harder to turn at low speeds, but positive caster makes cars more stable at high speeds. Camber at 0 and toe to spec.
When you guys do your alignments do you guys raise the front of car to simulate ride height going Down track? Slight negative camber at normal high will make it close to 0 accelerating.
Never heard of that one. Probably not a major issue unless you have softer rear spring rates and taller drag springs/shocks in the front. Ideally you don't want the front end 4 inches higher than the rear crossing the line and if it is?.. you likely need reduced front ride height to compensate and also some type of air dam to settle it back down for improved stability and less chassis/undercarriage drag. Better to shed some ET and make the car safer with higher downforce than lose even more and make it unsafe with too much underbody drag.
