Hey guys I need a front wheel and I am wondering what backspace I need to run. I am running a 17 inch wheel because of the brakes. Will a 17x7 work with 4 inch or 4.5 inch back space? I think I want to run like a 225/45. I might run the same wheel in the back.

4" to 4-1/4". You can run less backspace but you would need a narrow tire.
4-1/2" will rub the upper ball-joint.

It's for any diameter wheel. I have found that with a 7-inch wide rim, 4" to 4-1/4" backspace works very well on the Maverick. You can run a 3-3/4" backspace on the rear without problems.
I actually ran a 3-1/2" backspaced wheel with no problems, but that was a 6-inch wide rim.

Hi Larry, Could I run a 15x7 rim with a 3 3/8" backspace front and back? With a 245/60r15? Thanks!

What wheel has a 3-3/8" backspace?
You can run a 3-3/4" backspace with a 245/60 on the rear, but the fronts will likely rub on the fender when turning corners. 4-inch is just about ideal for Mavericks in my experience. 4-1/4" on the front if your car is lowered.
