Went over housing, remove any weld spatter and cleaned housing again..... Painted housing..... Tapped abs sensor hole and plugged it, drilled and tapped for vent fitting..... Next weekend I will make some new brake lines, hopefully get it assembled and in(we shall see what happens.....

Well, not much progress was made last weekend..... I did get the gear set up, but I will have to reset the pinion depth because it's a little too deep in the pattern..... Hopefully I can get it finished up and back in the car this weekend.....

    Here's a couple pic's of the mostly non-progress.....

Where u get the brake T-Fitting on axle housing? I have a slow reduction in brake fluid front half of my master cyl. I have pulled rear (drums) wheels - no fluid loss. Master new last year - I have a little wetness around the axle housing, thinking that may be the problem. I dried the housing but have not had chance to look there since. Going to look nx week when I get the car up for new ex. header install.

No progress with the gear last weekend, no matter what I tried I could not get a decent pattern on it..... After I bailed on setting the gear up I did get the bearings on and studs in the axles, then put them in the housing and assembled the rear brake components.....

I ordered in another gear this week..... I went ahead and made the brake lines for the rear first thing today..... Then I set up the new gear with no issues what so ever, good looking pattern on this one..... I put the rear cover on and got the rear bolted in the car..... Then I checked to see if the driveshaft would fit, not a big surprise it didn't..... It actually bolted in but only has 3/8" clearance on the trans output shaft, to close for sure..... I will get that taken care of this week, at least I can just get it shortened.....

    Here's the progress.....

Finally all back together..... Went through the gear break in cycle, drove it around some Sat and Sun to put it through a couple heat cycles..... Everything seems fine so I reset the cal-tracs and recheck the front end alignment..... I'll probably drive it a some the beginning of the week and get it back out to the track on Wed nite!!!!! :victory:

The car was so "sleepy" until you put those beadlock wheels on it. You aren't fooling anyone now ... lol.

    Love it!

Got it to the track Wed nite..... She leaft harder then ever right up to 1 sec into the pass when it had a catastrophic planetary failure..... It only had a rebuilt 1.76 planetary set, but I still find it hard to believe it gave up off the footbrake..... It leaft on 3.5lbs and was at 18.6lbs at 4 tenths into the hit, it was going to be a good run.....

    Here is the carnage.....
