Looking to remove my Clutch Pedal. This old thread http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/clutch-pedal-removal.11872/ says I need a different break pedal and shaft? Does anyone have advice on removing the clutch pedal and keeping the existing break pedal?
Here is picture of Brake and Clutch Pedal assemble, there is a red clip that has to be removed and then Clutch Pedal/shaft can slide out. You have to disconnect the clutch rod and brake rod linkage and carefully remove the blue assist spring, before sliding out the Clutch Pedal/shaft....... David
Thanks. This helps. Can I then put the break back in?Or will there not be the mounting gear for the left side of the brake?
So you just want to remove the Clutch Pedal and then just install the same Brake Pedal? If so, you would have to use a 5/8" bolt/nut to secure the Brake Pedal to the support bracket and use same nylon pedal/shaft bushings (4)........ David
After thought....you would do well to swap to the auto setup and sell your manual parts, there's more demand than supply!
Some shafts on the automatic where 3/8" diameter and others where 5/8" diameter, so he would have to make sure to get the correct 5/8" one for his support bracket..... David
Try contacting this member, he was looking for a manual set up........ http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/clutch-pedal-assembly-and-v8-mounting-parts.120545/#post-1146771 David
