Covid-19 Pandemic, Roundup Nationals, Kingsport, Tennessee...and YOU!

The 27th Annual Roundup Nationals in Kingsport, Tennessee is a go. With the Covid-19 pandemic, and with the guidance of CDC recommendations, here are some things to keep in mind:

    1. Anyone who is sick or has symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should stay home.

    2. Be prepared. Bring your own hand sanitizer and facial coverings.

    3. Social Distancing will be the norm for the entire week

We have planned many activities and outings over (2) states and several counties. Each jurisdiction may have their own set of rules and regulations. Several of the places we are going will require a face covering. Some businesses and restaurants will require a face covering. Some businesses and restaurants will limit the amount of people allowed inside, and the size of any party seated at a table. Keep this in mind as you plan out your day.

With the situation changing on an almost daily basis, some of the activities planned for the week may need to be changed or possibly cancelled. We may not know until that day. Just remain flexible and realize that some things are out of our control.

If everybody can remain flexible and accommodating, this will help reduce the stress for everyone and go a long way to help keep everyone healthy, happy and safe.

Not even close to ready yet. Hopefully going to start priming and painting the new cowl hood today. ( waiting for a delivery from finish masters). Luckily (or unluckily) i have had the past 9 days off due to someone in my plant testing positive for covid, so I have had some free time. unfortunately it has been in the low 90s and hi humidity most of that time. Ill get her done in time...LOL Cant wait to see everyone and meet some new people.

I'm going to have to pass on the Roundup this year, for many reasons, but age and health are the main reasons. Not sick, just not up to it this year. I will be there next year, and I hope to see all of you. Take care, have a great Roundup, and please, all of you be safe and healthy.

Just changed the oil, doing a coolant flush'n fill now. Want to install my MeterMatch to calibrate the gas gauge. Not so bad when I'm putting around locally but on a trip it's probably good to know exactly how much fuel I really have. Will probably think of 10 other things before I leave Thursday morning.

Do we have an idea how many are attending? Is Friday's excursion still on? I see Sullivan county, where the hotel is located, just moved from being a virus red hot spot to orange. Our company policy is if you visit a hot spot you can't come to work for 14 days and have to get tested. :(

I don't know anything about red hot spots or orange. Haven't heard that. We are under a mandate to wear a mask indoors in all public places. However, it's not enforced. Some places are requiring it, some are not. Outdoors, everything is fine. So far there are about 15 cars here. I'm sure more will arrive by Friday.

Wednesday evening we were over 20 cars in attendance. All current information about our events are posted and updated on the MCCI website and Facebook pages. We will be posting pictures in an album on our Facebook page. Of course, we will have lots of pictures in an upcoming issue of our monthly newsletters.
