Hi all! Finally joined the forum. Been lurking awhile since I picked up what will be my sons first car, a 73 Maverick w/302, C4. The car had been sitting for the better part of 15 years, with the motor missing from a major failure. So far, I’ve got a roller HO bolted in and mocked up to the C4. I’m going to make the car run/drive with this stockish combo, then put a mild stroker/T5 in in the year before he gets his license, anticipating handing over the keys whenever he starts driving.

    :Welcome: from Wisconsin !

Looks like a solid body there. Something we don't see very often here in the rust belt.

It has its share of corrosion, but overall it’ll be a good builder. The floors are mint, so that’s good. I’ll need a lower passenger quarter patch and passenger door lower patch, but they all pretty much need that.

Welcome, looks like a nice car to start with.

Patch panels are available from Maverick Comet Restoration on Facebook.

    I’ll have to check there.

Anybody got a lead on a manual pedal assembly for manual brakes? I’d like to swap in a T5. I’ve swapped T5’s into Mustangs, but not into anything else yet.

I’ve got a couple Fox pedal boxes. If I can’t find a factory type setup, I’ll do that. Had a negative experience using a cable style setup on a early mustang with long tubes. I have shorties on the Maverick, so it may be a better fit.

I’ve heard the SN95 cable is longer thus routing is easier.
