What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    The computer triggers a relay, that then feeds fused battery voltage to the pump. All in the trunk.

    I have an older Ford factory EFI system with a return. Would I just cap the return if I go with the Holley 12-205? I would love to upgrade to the in-tank pump and restore the tank vent system.

    Original ford EFI system operate at approx 30 psi & 39 psi at WOT. The OEM Walbro electric pumps used are all but bullet proof, easily operate 150K without issue. Supposedly not designed for PWM, I've heard of them being used for such. Dead ended, with 12v supply, I've seen 125 psi.

    Dayum :eek: & I was upset that a kit to rebuild the original Carter fuel pump on my Cobra was $49...

    When I tried to drain my coolant, the petcock refused to open (yes, I was turning it the right way).
    Now it's leaking; fun times ahead.
    Sometimes I hate this car so much.

    Rebuilt doors: pulled and greased regulators and latch mechanisms, new window channel weatherstripping and beltline felt, new hinge pins. Has a cool, solid door thud now, Satisfying project. MIG welded up drivers rear floor pan, fabricated myself. The only real rust on my floors. Next up, rear lower quarters.

    This weekend I found a broken bolt in the front of the head to attach the intake manifold. Tried to drill and extract....and the extractor bit broke. Please excuse me while I go cry in the corner.

    Well at least its yours and not someone else.

    And yes its happened to me. Water pump hole.

    Gonna need picture for suggestion on moving forward.

    I thought about that too. I've also been thinking of getting aluminum heads. My main concern if I do get that bolt out is whether the hole is hogged out.
