Chased tail-light, turn signal and brake light problem for several days.
Found out after all these years how inportant a funtioning turn signal switch is.

New switch and everything works. And easy to replace!

adjusted the front coilover shocks today. had to pull tire, drop lower a arm and disconnect the sway bar to get it out. after doing both sides it sits about 2" too high. to do that adjustment I have to remove the shock and raise the top mount 2". good thing it's an adjustable top mount and not fixed. nothing but a thing.

Have you had this setup /coil-overs since going MII? I thought adj. units were adjustable w/o removing a lot of suspension -- figured the tire would need removal...

as far as adjusting the damper that is just turn the knob for ride comfort. when you adjust ride height the top mount needs to be moved up/down. in my case that is complicated by the 2" drop spindles I installed later.

    Hello. Thinking. And asking. It's more easy and cheaper. Get 300hp. From a 302 1973 carb , only mod 4 barrel. Ir a 5.0ho 1995? Stock? :thumbs2:

A 73 302 is not going to see 300 horsepower with just a four barrel.

You did not indicate if you were planning on converting the 5.0L to carburation? Assuming that is the case; your decision should be based on the condition of either engine.

The 302 has the advantage of already being in the car and paid for. The 5.0L has the advantage of a roller cam.

Do you plan on rebuilding the short block regardless of which engine you choose? Perhaps it is a matter of just leaving the short blocks as they are if they are in good shape not high mileage and not consuming oil, etc. Either engine if in good order, can produce 300hp with the addition of cam, heads and intake CHI. You just select either a flat tappet or roller camshaft in combination the the heads and intake. That is the quickest and easiest way to more than 300hp. How much more depends on how much you want to spend on these three items.

Regardless of which engine you choose; you need an electronic ignition! :thumbs2:

With a good set of heads(think aluminum), either will make well past 300Hp. At minimum you want a set of GT40 irons.

The '95 HO roller cam while fairly mild, is light years ahead of any stock cam from the '70s. With good heads, intake & free breathing exhaust, 300Hp would be easy.

Twenty years ago, Trick Flow was advertising their Twisted Wedges would add 75 Hp to a otherwise stock 5.0 HO. After trying a set in '00, made a believer out of me.

Finally got the Maverick delivered to the body shop to get some minor bodywork done. He's going to fix the trunk drop off, above the pass. side tail light, and the usual quarter panel stuff. He is also going to fix the pass. side inner fender, under the battery tray. Someone before me tried and failed to fiberglass it, and it is nasty.
This body man does superb work. Worth the wait.
