I removed the stone deflector from the Comet and noticed corrosion on the plastic and some dents on the metal parts. So I separated the metal from the plastic pieces by removing the old corroded staples. I removed some of the dents on the metal and took some of the corrosion of from the plastic with a spatula. I started sanding down the plastic so I can eventually get it painted. I still don't know if I should paint it black or go with regular primer. The engine bay is already black. Any suggestions?

After the Rust Bullet was finally cured, I got the drivers door sound deadener installed, painted and lubed latch assembly in, new door glass run installed and new roof rail weatherstrip installed.

Ordered a set of SPC upper arms. Wasn't going to do it but decided the improved geometry was worth the extra money.
