Ground your engine real good! That means somewhere on that pretty engine you'll have to scrape paint

This is wierd but this article says that electrolysis may be to blame. Could be b.s. but interesting never the less. Read the part where it says "Sometimes the path of least resistance is a radiator or heater hose".

    http://www.radiatorreporter.com/electrol.html. :hmmm: .

    Interesting article. Thx!

Electrolysyisisysi damaged both my AFR (aluminum) heads. I do not like electolsyriszcs. I do not like electrolysicsxc at all.

Rick, you are either desirous of having a little one in the house or you're really starting to miss all those brain cells that left during your misspent youth.:16suspect

...guess what i found 3 days ago...tube-to-header joint leak...in my rad. i just had press. tested before i installed it.:yup:

    this stuff is spooky...

i know what i am doing tomorrow...
i even put an extra ...braided...ground strap on my new motor when i installed it after talking to Rick.
at least now we can keep a check on things and maybe keep it from doing it again...thanks for the ..link
a friend of mine had already suggested to put one on the bellhousing for the starter. i have an extra one from when i bought my first one. i guess i will keep ...grounding...untill my ...rad. hose is volt free.
    see...i won't :coco: after all.
    thanks again

Electrlyosisioso caused major pitting on the bottom surface of my heads - large enough pits that it might be the reason my head gaskets blew (that, and running too low of octane). ref: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=28491&page=4&highlight=pitting
