    Hey guys,
    NEED FEEDBACK!!!!!!!
I'm considering holding a Maverick mini-meet Oct 6th, 2007 at Crusin-The-Coast in Biloxi Mississippi. We don't have that many Maverick members down here so I'd like to get a little feedback before I try to set this up. Cruisin The Coast is a major deal here for us so I believe anyone that wanted to come would have a great time. The Coast is still recuperating from Katrina but we still had a great turnout for CTC 2006 with about 4000 cars. CTC is a weeklong event but the mini-meet would be only for Sat the 6th...although I will be there for the entire week for anyone that wanted to stay longer. There is so much going on that week you would probably want to spend more than one day here. Last year I had my own mini-meet (you can see the nose of two of my cars in one of these pics about 12 rows down).
Come on guys...I've been wanting to do this for the last couple of years now but had to postpone because of katrina. I would really like to get 10-12 Mavericks here which should be possible. Heck, I'll bring at least 2 myself.
Sound off and give me some names if you think you'd like to try to make it and we'll go from there.

    Names so far committed:
    rayzorsharp - 2 cars
    fredee - 1 car?
    myt mav - 1 car
    maverick outlaw - 1 car
    grabberGT - 1 car
    hawko - 1 car
    Earl Branham - 1 car

Something I would like to do but don't have enough vacation time for.

Great idea! I wish I could do that like someone else. (Don)
But I would not want to go back if I quit!

I saw 4 Mavericks last October at Cruisin-The-Coast other than my own. I'm sure I can get these guys to participate and possibly join the club if they come back. Even if they don't, out of 4000-5000 cars there is no doubt there will be some more Mavericks/Comets there. Anyway, I'll start the list off on this post and add potential names as you guys give them to me. Remember, this is not set in stone. I'm just looking for people with interest in coming. Click the links in my 1st post for more info on Cruisin-The-Coast.

Come on guys...help me out here.

I say go for it. You really won't know what will happen until you DO it. Plus.....lots of MCCI members are not on this board....so no real way to guage their response. I say "make it so" and this will give you a head start to get the word out.

    Done Deal!!!

I agree Craig. I'm going to make it happen.
    OKAY GUYS...it's OFFICIAL!!!

    MCCI Maverick/Comet Mini-Meet
    October 6th, 2007 at CRUISIN-THE-COAST

Place: The ENTIRE Mississippi Gulf Coast

This will likely be the best Mini-Meet you have ever attended if you like old cars...and I KNOW you do or you wouldn't be reading this in the 1st place.
We are expecting there to be anywhere from 4000-5000 registered cars cruising this year and a helluva lot of un-registered ones. This is not a typical car show where you have to stay parked in one spot all day long. This is a week long SUPER Cruise-In.

Please contact me for more information.

Count me in too! I did take quite a few pictures of your car last year. And if you remember I sent you an e-mail about your tires rubbing. I did enjoy Cruisin the Coast even on a Wednesday night. I hear it got better that weekend, but I was heading north that weekend to the NMCA finals in Memphis. Maybe this will give me the incentive to finish my car for this mini-meet.

Thanks myt mav. I added you to my list above. Yes, I remember talking to you last year. Still got a little tire rub...may have some different tires by then. Planning on getting some drag radials which I desperately need.
    See you then!
