Here is the latest info on the MCCI 14th Annual Roundup Nationals, hot off the presses:
    - Welcome Packet: As mentioned earlier, when you check in at the hotel, be sure to mention the Maverick Comet Club International (MCCI) and ask for your welcome packet that contains an itinerary, maps, directions, and phone numbers to hopefully help out everyone’s stay.
    - Door Prizes: Lots of great door prizes again this year from a variety of vendors as well as MCCI members. Everybody will go home with something.
    - Goody Bags: Our best goody bags ever…just full of great stuff. The dollar value inside the bag will surpass the entry fee!! For example….remember the Legendary Ford Magazine that had a Maverick on the cover. To buy one would cost you $8.95. Thanks to the generous support of the MCCI by Legendary Ford Magazine, everyone who registers for the Roundup Nationals (with or without a car) will get one in their goody bag!!

    - Wednesday, July 25 Washington D.C. Bus Trip: Leave host hotel at 9am for a bus tour of Washington, D.C. While there, we will stop at the National Mall, and at 11:30am we will tour the Washington monument. While at the National Mall, we will be within walking distance of the Capital building, the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and the World War II Memorial. We will be on our own for Lunch. We will re-board the bus at 2pm to arrive back at the host hotel by 3pm.

    - Friday Evening 8pm Club Meeting: Our club meeting will feature a special presentation by author and MCCI member Paul Gregson, all the way from the country of Brazil in South America. He will present a Power Point presentation and be selling his new book: Maverick: An Icon of the 1970’s. This is the first, and a unique, book about the complete history of the Ford Maverick in USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Paul has written several books, and owns several Mavericks, including a station wagon!! We are sure this will be an interesting opportunity for our members. A total of 3 different countries will be represented this year at our National show (maybe we should call it an International show!!)
    - Comprehensive All Maverick Swap Meet (Saturday): We are pleased to announce that Auto Krafters and The Maverick Connection will both have booths set up selling Maverick and Comet parts. This is a rare opportunity to meet and talk with the two largest Maverick parts retailers, and only at the Roundup Nationals. Auto Krafters expects to introduce their latest Maverick/Comet catalog as well as some new Maverick/Comet parts now on the market.

    - Saturday Evening Banquet 6 pm: We will be eating at our leisure in Chantilly's Restaurant and O'Malley's Irish Pub located at the host hotel. Both restaurants offer a variety of foods starting at $8-$25. Chantilly’s features contemporary American cuisine in a casual setting. O’Malley’s Irish Pub features sports programming on 27 HD flat panel television screens. The “locals” say O’Malley’s is the place to be! A friendlier, gathering place is hard to find with pool, darts, and a great selection of beverages
    - Saturday Evening after Banquet: After supper you are on your own but there are a couple of things that may be of interest. Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Virginia has a NASCAR sponsored race that all MCCI members get in for free. The Speedway is going to have a Maverick and Comet Corral set up for all of the MCCI members at the track. In between the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series featuring NASCAR Late Model, Grand Stock, Mini Stock and Speedway Sportsman racing action, we will be given an opportunity to do a victory lap around the track in front of the crowd.
There is also a large, local cruise-in near the race track.

It's never too late to plan a trip. Also, don't forget if you are interested in official Roundup Nationals T-shirts to place your order this week.

OK so do we know where the NEXT National Round-Up is going to be held?? You know there is always Maryland International Raceway down by My house........

Actually I am Just hoping that it will be within a decent driving distance. Something around 300 - 600 miles round trip. If it is on the long end of that I think I can convince my Dad to take a few days off and either get a room or bring his 5th wheel trailer.

Can't wait to find out where it is going to be held next year
