    Tops of all my aprons were rotted out where the metal overlapped.


    Had to make patch panels for both sides. Making that small step was a bitch.



    Patch complete and welded in.

    The battery apron was a goner. It also rusted out the corner of the core support where it attached.

    The rest of the core support is good so I just made another patch panel.

    Luckily, picked up a nos battery apron almost 10 years ago at Ford Carlisle.

    All aprons and cowl repairs are done and everything is welded back together. I used liberal amounts of Eastwood's rust encapsulator on everything. This repair should out last me.

    I second Jeans offer. Sorry Jean, :naughty: but Dennis plans on retiring in the South so unless you guys plan on opening a shop down here I think I got the best shot! :bananaman
