There's a 428 powered Mav on eBay right now with a Boss 429 style scoop.

I've always loved shakers since I first saw the barracuda's one. Is it hard to get one on a maverick? I found a few places I can order one from....

Well, was told by another mav'er that putting the opening towards the window will work better on the fuel milage and performance. Besides, why be like everyone else? lol

AWESOME!!! That mailbox needs the door so when you give some throttle it flips down to catch some air!

Always wanted two scoops if I couldn't have a Grabber hood. These came from a
    65 or so Fairlane.

i know this is an old thread...but its the best hood scoop thread i found on here

but how would a trans am shaker hood scoop look on a maverick...but mounted reversed so the hole is in the front and curves off in the rear like a typical scoop
or possibably a buick stage 2 scoop?
i'm digging the mopar demon scoop though
the comet scoop is aight..just wish is a a tad taller..its more sleek then agressive..

    Two comments:

*The Comet scoop is like the Boss 429 scoop in a lot of ways.
If you like the Comet scoop, but want it tall and aggressive, then you just described the Boss 429 scoop perfectly.

*The Demon scoop is tall, aggressive, and sleek at the same time. It sets up 5" tall over the hood at the front. However, if you are looking for 'real' added hood clearance, it doesn't add as much as it would seem. Over the carb, with the hood cut, it only adds an inch or so clearance. Just a heads up, in case you are looking for a scoop with serious clearance.

I noticed the B429 scoop I linked to is gone.

    Here are a couple.
    The original was 3.75" tall.
Nowadays you can get the aftermarkets in shorter or much taller versions as well.

    On the 75?

No. The car is still stored up in the back of my business shop.
The economy here is terrible, I can't even maintain my Sprint like it deserves. The 75, while not deteriorating anymore, has not recieved any attention. It is actually in a better situation than my Sprint, because it is indoors. I would love to find a new owner for the Sprint. That way it was safe, and I could just tinker slowly over time with the 75... starting as a blank sheet.

Anyway, the only pics of the 75, besides the old one in the gallery, are in this thread...

Lots of angles, but the car is pretty sad looking.
