Could it be this easy (gauge cluster)?

I will take one!!! You ready to mass-produce them yet?

Looks really nice, and if one isn't fond of the gauges, should be a cinch to swap to whatever style you like.

It's really pretty easy, just a piece of .080" alum about 6 x 11 bent and trimmed just right (however, it does require some mods to the defroster duct and some minor grinding on the wiper motor support). I may offer up a template... Any standard 5" gauges will work.

    Russ,

Looks awesome! How did you do the lettering around the indicator lights? Looks very professional...

Having a printer/cutter makes it a bunch easier. Actually, I made two aborted attempts at hand painting the bezel rings before I thought to cut some 0.100" wide "pinstripes" from my roll of silver metallic. I then went on to design and cut the lettering (which is a b!tch because it's so small) and that took four attempts to get it cut and weeded.

<TIP> Anyone can pick up a small roll of pinstriping tape and "re-ring" your cluster face!

im going to try and put autometer guages in my dash. i bought autometer phantom tach and speedo in 3-3/8 dia and i got a maverick cluster on ebay for .99 cents.
they fit in the cluster very well. the cluster under the cover is flat. i need to make some kind of backing plate to retain them. wont be to hard.
then i'l make some kind of plate to mount others under the dash.
im using all white phantom guages. looks pretty cool

Right, $600 bucks on 6 gauges (4 in one housing, 2 in the other) plus all the sending units. Life ain't cheap! ;)

it normally is... look at edlebrocks top end kit for engines through summit, then price them individually. it's an astounding difference.
