Cool deal, thanks for that information. I think I may go that route. I was thinking of drilling some holes along the scoop flange, then spot/plug welding and using seam sealer/panel bond to make a nice solid joint. Once that is done though, what would be a reliable way to smooth the seam on top between the hood and scoop? Seam sealer? Body filler? Would it hold up?
The man to ask that would be Rayzorsharp... Ray does top notch body work. I would think flexible body filler myself, but I don't do bodywork. Check with Ray.

is this closer to the look you are trying for? mine is fiberglass but i think it fits your look. if you don"t like hood pins you can always go with the flush mount twist and lock system.
That's pretty close. If I have to run pins I'll just go with the CF from Maverick Man. I think Maverick Mans hood is the height, curve on the cowl, cowl width etc that i am looking for. Its just not steel
Well, I say I would go with the CF hood, but it looks like he only does local pickup on the cowl hoods. Guess I'm stuck with steel regardless of what type.
what manifold do you have on the car? i have fit my grabber hood with a RPM Air Gap with a 1/4 inch spacer, holley carb with a 3-1/2 air cleaner with a drop base. clears fine. just watch what air cleaner nut you use. as for hood flying up. remember any race car should have hood pins for safety reasons. however on your honda and eagle. those hoods the latch is on the car side and the hook is in the hood. ours are differant becuase our latches are on the hood and the hook part is on the car. on those hoods the latch doesn't brake it is the hook that brake off. get it?
