My car has 3 chamber Flowmasters ,no H or X pipe and is dumped in front of the axle.
It doesn`t have the usual "Flowmaster sound" and has a rather low Rumble at Idle ,but when I get on it hard it gets LOUD! My burnout video on you tube gives a pretty fair example of the sound even though its not filmed from behind the car.

Thanks for the responses gang. I am thinking I will run 3" with x or h pipe and dump it out in front of the rear tires maybe have a pipe made or buy a pipe flattened out to a rectangle were it comes to the side of car.

Much cheaper and less hassle with issues than going over the rearend

Thanks for the pic M.A.V. that sheds some light on my idea---- it wont work I wanted to bring exhaust clear to the outside of car just in front of the tires but there is just not enough room without using up needed ground clearance. I guess mine will end up looking like yours (y)

I kinda think that if you put the mufflers anywhere else other than in the cubbies it does affect ground clearance. Then when they are in the cubbies they are too far back to go to the sides.

Same set up as mine....I also have a H-pipe. I am running Flowmaster Super 40's all in 3 inch.
