wish i could say the same about my car. It currently sits in the garage completely striped down to metal and waiting for my back to get better so i can finish the body work.

Yes, while you all are talking about it:

I am tentatively planning the 2011 Texas Mini-Meet for around the 3rd weekend in September in McGregor, TX at the Ford dealership as it has been for several years.

As soon as I get the details, I will post an announcement. Looking forward seeing everyone again!

We'll hopefully be there. Daughter just got a new motor for her Maverick. It's a 351w from her brother's Mustang. She plans to have it done by September. We'll see.

It always falls on my wife's birthday on the 23rd. She usually wants to do something a little more romantic than go to a car show...

Is "third weekend" the weekend of the 17th this time?

I just contacted the president of the Heart of Texas Mustang Club to see if they have chosen a date. As soon as I hear something, I will let you all know!

Awesome, I'm supposed to take a trip to Texas with my brother in September to visit a friend. If we still go and it's the same week I'll try to stop by and say hello and check out some rides.:thumbs2:

The Heart of Texas Mustang pages seem to be dormant. If they do not hold there annual all Ford show, maybe we can all meetup at the Goodguys show. Its 9/30, 10/1, 10/2.

Another idea might be laps for charity. The truck club i belong to kinda makes it an all day affair. first good eatin at Bone Daddy's in grapevine. Then the car wash, and last but not least laps for charity at texas motor speedway. some people even hit the drag strip about 20 miles down the road after that.

The Heart of Texas Mustang Club IS NOT having a show. :(

But, keep Saturday October, 15th open for our Annual Texas Mini-Meet. It will be in Katy, TX (just west of Houston) at The Current Christian Church. They have a great show every year and have offered thier venue for our meet.:bananaman

I will post details next week when they give me the flyers.

Much better, especially with the weather as hot and dry as it it nowadays.

    Katy is much closer.

Did you tell Ed (924 mav) that you were taking over his car show and making it into a Maverick/Comet show? He most likely wouldn't have any issues with that:D

Yes Ed and I talked about having the mini-meet there in Katy for the last couple of years. He's looking forward to seeing all of us and another good showing of Mavericks!
