Awesome work! They definitely look better all 1 color, even if it is primer. You have been answering my unasked questions so far, like "Do I Por15 THEN prime?" and "Should I weld this 1 thing in first THEN test-fit this other thing in second?". etc.

Touched up a couple spots of seam sealer in the drip rails this morning, also seam sealed all the seams in the floors and around wheel wells..... Then I started the wonderful process of blocking, did I mention how much I hate body work yet..... Forgot the camera so no pic's, not much to see anyways.....

 

I finished blocking the roof and quaters this morning, then primmed it up again..... I got about 3 or 4 little spots to address, block/prime again and then a final blocking and it's ready for paint..... Almost forgot I lowered it on the cart yesterday morning so I could reach the roof without a step stool.....

Here it is in the new lowered position with another fresh coat of primer.....

 

Can't wait to see it in paint. At your rate......Wednesday, right?

 

I'm only working on it on the weekends so the earliest it would see paint is in 2 weeks, or possibly 3 depending..... I like to let it set up for a week in between just to make sure nothing odd shows up as a suprise because I was rushing.....

Have a question though on your choice of motor, with all the work you've put into it, did you ever think about going with a Cleveland instead of the roller Windser ?

As for my choice of motor, and I don't mean to offend anyone else here but you asked...... I don't own a boat, so I have no need for a anchor.....

 

No offense taken, i am running a roller myself it's a 331 though ---- But if i had made the the tower mod's i would have considerd running a Cleveland. I have a set of 4v heads in the shop and the ports are massive. Also i have driven cars with both types of 351's, not sure if you are basing your judgement of the Cleveland off of a 2v or 4v, but in my experiance the Cleveland walked all over the Windsor. Theres a Pinks All Out episode of a guy running a Cleveland in a fox body, he won and you can tell by watching him on his passes that he was only playing around with most of the cars he went up against. Just thought i'd ask, cant wait to see your's finished, should be a wheel stander.

 

Doing a little clean up work around the fenderwell openings the back of the drip rails.....

Sand and prime seams like all I have been doing, but I think it's ready for paint finally..... It has a nice coat of primer on it once again, just need a final sanding and the I can squirt it..... Next weekend I am supposed to go to the PRI show in Orlando, but I may have to pass so I can get some paint on this thing before the cooler weather come in..... I will just have to see what the weather is looking like for next weekend, right now it looks pretty good..... No pic's cause it's just gray again.....

 

I cant believe I found this thread!! Im Sean the owner of the car who sold it to you. Hope my learning on how to do body work and everything did not give you too much trouble I started on it when I was 13 so it is what it is, i would have done it much more like you did had I have the knowledge that I do now...

I would love to come check it out sometime if you wouldnt mind, seeing the pictures on your first page brought a tear to my eye.. I regretted selling that car the minute you drove it away.. still do.. Maybe ill buy it back from you when your done with it
