Wow that looks familiar. Except my car looked like that in 1984. My first V8 car. Bought it driving for 50 bucks. Should have left it alone. Ground out the bondo and lost most of the quarter. Cut it off to replace but then found a shell to build.
After looking at all the work that needed done to the quarter panel. I figured it would be better to replace it.
I've been working on the spoiler for a couple of days. Bought an aftermarket one from Tony off here. I made it 1" taller and changed the profile.
I do stamped contrete work. In those pails is the antique release agent, which comes in many different colors. We make concrete resemble real stone and flagstone.
I wish you were closer, I had some done, but the guy is a flake..I need to have it cleared every year, but he won't come and do it
If you have a Bobcat dealer around the sell to the general public. Or look around for a construction supply store they should have it also or be able to direct you in the right direction. There are several different kinds available. See if he will at least tell you if he used acrillic or solvent based sealer one cant be used over the other.
Gene Im not sure about there sealers, I have never used it. Check and make sure its for outdoors or has uv protection. It will turn yellow pretty quick if it doesnt.
I thought i had a rust free door. I was wrong, had to put a piece about 2 1/2 " x 10" in the front. A 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 triangle piece in the rear corner........... Trying to decide if I want to shave the door handles or not, wanting to do something different with them.
Could you pm me the color code/break down. Brands used etc. Also how many coats of clear did you do? I'm digging the color!!
Test fitted the Quarter panel Scott and I went and picked up on Saturday from Rick Brooks. Still have alot more triming to do but pleased with how its coming along.
