Some more progress. Got the front steering/suspension installed, upgraded to 5-lug disc brakes from a 77 comet, also added roller bearing spring perches and a 7/8" sway bar. Suspension and steering is stock otherwise, but everything rubber has been replaced. Wheels are 15x7s from US Mags.

How heavy are those us mags wheels? They look nice and will give it a nice period correct look while still being and upgrade due to the size. What size are you putting on the back?

Yes, I am quite pleased with how they look. With the tire mounted, they weigh 38 pounds.

Not sure what I going to do in the back yet. I still have to change out the rear end first since it's still got the 8" with 4 lug axles. I keep changing my mind on whether to go 8.8" or 9".

    Driver's seat and Steering column

Got the driver's seat and steering column mounted. Decided to splurge and get a fancy aftermarket Ididit column. Probably not worth it, but I think it looks cool.

    Vry nice! It's the first Mav I've seen w/ a tilt-column. I like it. :thumbs2:
Trying to figure out how u have that clamp fastened to the dash in pix #3?
    1.) Which column #?
2.) What abt wiring issues? Are most of those columns set up for GM hook-up?

The mount is just screwed bracket that holds the brake pedal and the original steering column. Some drilling and grinding was required to get it to fit.

The column is Ididit part number 1120280010

Yes, it is GM wiring. I am going to be doing a complete custom wiring job, so that doesn't bother me too much.
