Ford traction locks are notoriously weak though. I've broken several over the years, 8" and 9". The side covers break around the ring gear bolts.

Didn't know that. I probably don't put a lot of stress on it with the C4.

I forgot to go back and correct -my trap speed wasn't spectacular but it sure wasn't ~75 MPH. Here are my timeslips from that night.

And even better, here are some videos from that night!

This was my first run ever, and it wasn't too bad. I let the trans shift a little early, had a burned plug wire, but mostly my problem was traction. I have none. Stock high-geared open diff. But I left the line easy and didn't spin too bad on this one. Every run after this I tried to launch a little more aggressively, and each one sucked just a little bit harder...

This one... Pure shame right here. Here you can clearly see the source of my weak times, that stock "peg-leg" rearend. It's got to go. But the worst part is when I staged with my rear wheels. I have no excuse for that, I just sucked.

Unfortunately they weren't mine so I have no control over those settings. However I did just download them from Facebook and re-upload to my Youtube account.

    So... Videos are fixed. (y)

Can't wait to see it with some drag radials and lsd. :dancing: I'm guessing you'll be in the 12s.

Once you get the car to hook up it will be a whole different world, it will be like driving an entirely different car, front end will lift and it will lay you back in the seat.

I can see the smile on your face now
