Started stripping the parts car, swapped rear bumper and gas cap onto mine... looks 100 times better now, debating if I want to keep 73 bumper or go with the small on the front....

Started taking the 71 parts car apart.
Its a shame, cause this car is very solid.
Oh well......started a new spot in the barn.........MAVERICK PARTS ONLY! LOL

Took the park bench off the front of the 75 and set the 71 bumper in place, WOW, What a diff. I think the front end raised 2 inches with the big bumped off. LOL

Diagnosed my Fasten Seatbelt intermittent issue. Sometimes is lights up and sometimes it doesn’t. Also the chime has never worked.

Found driver seat belt wire cut. Fixed it by soldering the wire back together and used heat shrink to seal it up. Found passenger seat belt warning sensor wires cut. Fixed them by unplugging the sensor, pulled the female connectors out of the coupler. Used small flathead to open the pinched wires on the female connectors, pulled out the cut wires and crimped the cut sensor wires back together, then I plugged the sensor back in.

Tested the seatbelt warning system again, it failed. Reviewed wiring schematic for the 10th or 20th time LOL! Found blown fuse being connected by a gum wrapper (I'm actually guilty of this, I had to make a connection for electric fan on an MGB I owned at one time). Hey it works! You should always replace the blown fuse when you get home though!

Tested the seatbelt warning system and it failed again… Found the backup lamp switch and noticed it had an oily substance on it. It's more than likely brake fluid coming from the brake master cylinder. It was already on my list of R&R items but now has jumped to the top of my list!

It still doesn’t work but I did order the parts for the next jobs. All in all, it was still a great day! :)
