I got good at removing windshield trim by practicing on cars at the junkyard. I think I ruined a good 3-4 sets before I got it down. But when It came time to do mine they came out perfectly Now the trim on the door windows is another story, I still cant take those out without messing them up.
Ill ask Alex if he wants his knife back. I think he used to sit in the back seat to eat his steak so the dog would leave him alone. Not sure why he had so many pens, im not even sure if he can write, I hope Alex dosnt read this.
i havent seen alex on here for quite a while. i still have to gather all the change still siting in the bottom of the car. lots of dimes but not much else.
so today i put the car up on the hoist and took the c4 trans out. i then pulled the I6 250 out. heres the empty engine compartment. check out the awesome condition of the a/c condenser. the I6 is a tight fit between the fire wall and radiator support. i had to pull one of the shock tower braces off to get the motor to come out. im wondering if joe dirts way of using truck motor mounts on the I6 frame mounts gives any more clearance for some custom bigger tube headers. i kinda doubt it but i think i might look it to it a little bit.
Dude, somebody took a dump on your crossmember. You say that about the motor mounts like you're keeping the six. You're not keeping it, right?
im putting in a v8. joe dirt figured out that some ford truck motor mounts work with the I6 frame mounts. i noticed that the frame mounts are further forward than the v8 ones. this may create some room .
You turn them backwards and swap sides, it its it lower and further back You have to bolt them up to the moto first then bolt the frame stands in when you drop it in, 67-79 sbf truck mounts
That's cool! My motor is already in but I'm curious how much lower and farther back the motor is. Is there any interference with anything by moving it? I assume a z-bar will no longer line up. Do you have any pictures of this setup with motor installed?
ah ok so its opposite that i thought. well thank you for the info ill store it in the back of my head where it will be forever safe from being remembered ever again.
