I've not tried what predfan has done, but a quick google search found companies that will reproduce brake hoses. I do not know if this company is still in operation or not but worth a call should the mustang thing not work out for you. http://brake-hose.com/we-make-ford-brake-hoses
I wonder if drum brake Falcon hoses are close?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/DORMAN-H366...fits=Model:Falcon&hash=item1e7be9b56b&vxp=mtr
My guy is trying the 68 Mustang thing. I should know soon if it works I'll let everyone know and have him take pics so we can see. Since I'm an idiot I started a 59 Rambler Cross Country Wagon Custom now ahahahahahaha
The big thing is would it bolt up. You could always reposition the hose bracket and adjust the hard lines a tad. Just a thought. Darn shame there aren't 70 hoses, but I'd bet there is a brake hose out there that would come close to working.
I wonder if something like this would help? Maybe not an exact replacement, but could be made to work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/64-66-MUSTANG-GRANADA-MAVERICK-DISC-BRAKE-HOSE-CONVERSION-FOR-GRANADA-SPINDLES-/221260802747?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33842beabb&vxp=mtr
The 70 Maverick uses a banjo bolt at the cylinder end. The Mustang hoses thread directly into the cylinder.
I have a 70 as well and all I did was buy 71 lines and wheel cylinders!! works good, all I need to do now is make a little bracket to bolt the line back to the frame as the 70 brake line had the bracket built onto it. But that should be a easy fab.
We're doing the Mustang thing on this one, and seems like it will work fine I've been told. When he gets to that part, I should have pictures!
Here is where it is and done with the brake line conversions. I never did a build page, but this is where most is right now. I don't do the mechanics, and paint and stuff I do. My Pinto wagon is close to paint! YOu can see the brake line conversion on here also...
I have a 70 that needs these hoses. I have looked around and this seems to be the easiest to do. Has anyone been able to verify if this works? 1971 Hoses and Wheel cylinders are widely available. Thx ahead of time
