I've been reading up on the projects lately for inspiration since I'm just about to a point where I can work on mine. It's amazing what you can pick up on from others. This car looks to be well on it's way to greatness, hope mine is as clean once I start looking deeper cause the last one sure wasn't!
Thanks Rick! So today's project is to get all this crap off the inside of the fender, so I can just cover it again.....
So what are you using to get that junk off? I've read where guys have used everything from "peel away", to degreaser, torching, to just old fashioned elbow grease and a grinder wheel. Nice progress!
I completely understand why you feel the need to do that- - - -and I also know that we're "not right"
Looking good, hope to see you making a lot more progress over the winter. & i also used the paint stripper for that, worked great.
Nothing too exciting, just cutting and fitting, Thanks again to " Maverocket " for the piece of the quarter panel I needed. Also scored a deal on some rear tires at coffee this morning, a pair of Nitto 555'S 275/40/17...It just seals the deal on mini tubing to get these 11+ inch wide tires to fit nicely.
Best to just use the whole panel Dave...The welding will be a simple straight line. The rest is gravy...
