mavericks are better as parts cars so go ahead cut it up any way you like :D

seriously though it sounds like it would be very cool. and if the write up goes well it will be very informative. just dont leave anything out and add lots of pics and be sure to tell us how youve dont everything step by step not just bought this and installed it. show us how you installed whatever
sort of a tutorial video of pics

wont you have to shave the shock towers to fit that motor? like you have to do when putting in a 351.

    All kinds of room...:hmmm:

As somewhat of a "purist", even I have always wanted to do this swap. I cannot afford it, but I have always wanted to do it. It is the ONE engine I would cut my car up for. Otherwise, I'm staying 99.44% pure.:D

I would think eliminating the shock towers altogether would be better. franktf would be able to weigh in on the AJE shock tower dimensions, as he had done that to his Grabber a while back.

I will be subscribing to the project thread once it starts...

Cool build I have serveral friends doing Coyote Stock cars. Read the rules carefully the NMRA loves to play favorites.

Here is a few pics that sold the car:
It is the original paint, cleaned with some sort of harsh chemical (wire wheel acid) but does buff up. The car has a few dings in it that i'll likely have the local ding king take care of.
The plan is to not paint the exterior, but polish it up and let it show off it natural beauty.

Ive thought of naming the project Coyote Ugly....as some of the grabber blue cars look great online, I don't think mine does... I can't get my head wrapped around it here.

ALL of the trim is there and in good shape with minimal dings and the interior is okay...

Great Build but don't expect a build like that from me...

Im not afraid of the NMRA Ive been dealing with them for a loooong time.

This will be a build that is relatively simple.. that most can relate to.

Been busy on the maverick, and as I mentioned earlier uploading photos and keeping a thread updated is very time consuming, and today is the first day I've had any opportunity to move the pics around.

So here is a few pics of the cage, my buddies chuck and jay at CHE hooked me up with the time and space to make it happen.

The cage is 8.50 certifiable, and you will notice the front bars that are actually gusseted to the factory shock towers which were moved out about 4 inches on each side to allow clearance for the Coyote Crate Engine.
The AJE K Member went in as easily as expected.

I will get pics of the rear of the car soon. The rear is a narrowed explorer 8.8, spool, mosier axles, and spool, aerospace disc brakes, using afco shocks, caltrac bars and caltrac split monoleafs moved in board about 2.5 inches on each side.

Looks like you found a great car to start with, nice and solid. Best part is if you get tired of the Coyote stock you can really make some power with that engine down the road.

    Really nice work on that!

What part of FL are you coming to?

I am next to Clearwater, the beach side of Tampa.
