So What started out as a "Cam and Heads" swap has become a 331 Stroker Build??? Over the past 8 months i have been collecting parts to upgrade my cam, being that i put in a T5 less than a year ago. I got a pair of AFR heads from a friend of mine and even took the week off from work hoping to be back up and running by Saturday. I knew I had some rust under the battery tray but did not realize how much till i got the finders off and the motor out that i looked pretty bad. not being able to pull myself to "freshening" up the engine an putting in back in to a failing engine bay, i have began the process of cutting and welding in new stuff.

I have always wanted to build a 331, a thought i have been kicking around for a few years now so being that i have the motor out of the car, all in pieces i said "What the Hell"!! doesn't seem right to put it all back together now and end up pulling it out to do the upgrade in 6 months or so. I want to try and document as best as i can which is something that i did not do when i first rebuilt it back in whatever year that was.....(n)........... this is the only 1 survivor of the 3 that i have owned, the first was a 69.5, straight 6, automatic the second i pick up from the junkyard for parts $200, it had to be a grabber, that's where i got the hood for this one. wish i would have been adult enough to pull the bucket-seats and 9" rear also..:banghead:... both of them are resting in Maverick Heaven now God bless them!!!!

I am so glad that i found this forum, have dealt with some really good people on here, gotten tons of info and even scored a pair of front turn signals from Bob, Thanks Bob!!!.. i will be adding to my albums as the project progress, thanks for all you the support, and if anyone wants anything from Hawaii, just let me know and i will do the best that i can to get it to you!!!
