Yesterday i tack welded the cross member in place. Now have to wait for a friend from work who is a master welder to come out an finish welding it for me.

Looks good! I figured I had 15 hrs in my swap to get it back to "roller" status. That's not counting the steering column mods. Would have been much less had I used my plasma cutter instead of drilling spotwelds...

My biggest battle is going to be mother nature, its only going to be in the low teens for the next week. Need it to get a little warmer before i can paint the engine bay. in the mean time ill re wire, re do the break lines, traney lines, and finish rebuilding the motor. My rod and main bearing are shot from the comp cam i chewed a lobe off of last summer.

I had one lifter that kept coming lose, or so I thought. Ended up getting frustrated so I pulled the intake and the lifter out, about .250 in was missing off the end of the lifter. So pull the heads and the cam and most of the lobe was gone also. It didn't wear off quickly, I had about 1500 miles on the motor rebuild, so I figured if any metal had already went thru the motor. Decided to wait and do the rebuild when I pulled the motor for the MII install.
