As some may know, I am trying to make the comet as light as possible.. and in doing so am converting over to manual brakes.... I bought a bendix master as it comes with the pushrod and noticed how massive it is compared to masters in newer cars... So i was curious if anyone has outfitted another master onto their cars that are aluminum or just lighter in weight besides say a wilwood master...

Besides the lines, does it bolt right in?

i have a nineties ranger unit in my car, aluminum body with plastic reservoir. was a direct bolt in, besides the lines. i'm using it for 4 wheel disc brakes, though.

Tody, how is the pedal with the Ranger m/c? I went with a 15/16" manual unit from a Maverick and it's extremely hard.

I have Crown Vic rears. Not sure if that would make a difference. Did you have any issues with the metric fittings?

I have this same set up using 4 wheel disk brakes
it might weigh 2lbs full of fluid? it feels like its not there......a 1/2 gallon of milk is heavier

the best part is you can buy one new for $42.00 brand new at autozone and they had it in stock
works great on my comet gt

What abt cyl. push rod - it come w/ unit or reuse old one? What bore size works for ur setup - I have drums on rear?
I just bought new MC "OE old style" but may not put it on -- wud like one of the newer style units. What fitting changes u had to make? Are there std. to metric adapters or do u have to cut and flare for the metric connection?
