Hi all, I purchased these from getdiscbrakes.com formerly right stuff detailing. I got the stainless steel lines for a 1972 Maverick v8, thinking that they would work in my 1971 comet, my old lines were off of a 1972 Maverick v8 grabber. The new lines are way longer and one of them bends 180 degrees at the transmission.
If Comet set up is anything the Maverick, those don't look entirely right. I just went through the same issue see post http://mmb.maverick.to/threads/transmission-supply-return-lines-or-hoses-to-radiator.104468/ I ended up going to our local pull and save and take the lines from a 1972 Ford 150 and a 1983 E350 (I wasn't sure which ones were gonna work) Turns out the 1972 F150 lines lined right up, with very minor adjustments, Hope this helps, best of luck
Thanks for the advice. I don't mind bending some lines up or getting them from a junkyard, that's where I found the other set many years ago. I just found these stainless steel lines for a decent price, $115.00 including shipping. Figured I would be saving some time.
Some c4 transmissions came with straight fittings and some came with 90 deg fittings. Not sure how it breaks down for model/year though.
Those lines are made to use the 90 degree fitting in the transmission like the ones in the link below..... http://www.cjponyparts.com/c4-cooler-line-fitting-90-deg-/p/HW1403/
