I like 'em but I wish they had the original-style caps like my Ford Motorsport covers, rather than the push-in gromets...

Are these tall enough to clear stud mount roller rockers? Stock valve covers don't so are these taller than stock?

    Better check!

Ok guys, these look to be the same as the ford motorsports/Cobra valve covers that summit and jegs sells.

If that is the case you will need to check for clearence, roller rockers with a high lift cam will more then likely hit the covers and scar the inside of the covers and the top of the rockers. This is without question true if you are using 1.70 rockers and I cam larger then .550 in lift.

You may need to double gasket them or use spacer's to get enough height to keep them from hitting. Of course if you are using standard rockers and cam you won't have any problems.

To Check for clearence I used blue grease on my the top of my rockers and when I no longer saw any on the inside of my covers I knew I had the problem fixed.

    Good luck!

the article in the last shorthorns says that they are tall enough to fit most roller rocker applications.

better to be safe then sorry

That's why he can only say "fits most roller rocker applications"
because they won't fit all if they are the same as the FMS covers!

Please don't take me wrong, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with these covers but at the price of roller rockers and these valve covers I sure wouldn't want anything to happen to either one.

being they are one (two) of a kind, if you can get a set, then there might be a motor down the road for you that will not be a roller. i'm sure we have stuff laying around that is mav. stuff and that is the reason we have it,not because it fits a roller motor. when i ordered mine, my mavs. were both 6cyls. jmo....frank...:bananaman :bananaman

Thank you for doing that, as I just fell in love with them, and didn't really want to spend $200 on a cosmetic item, now I can't!!!

Something I'll likely regret not buying though in the future.
