the location of the inner sockets on the rack and pinion is very important to the location of the controle arms. if the controle arms are moved out or in from the factory locations the rack and pinon would need to widened or narrowed, or bumpstear will become evident. im going just assume that the crossmembers all keep the factory mounting locations and are just different to fit the different cars.

the lower controle arms on a stock m2 or pinto are alot like the mavericks. they use a strut rod that goes from the arm towards the rear of the car instead of the front of the car. it also has the spring siting on it. so if you used stock controle arms you have to either use the maverick strut rod that was asked about earlyer or create some sort of custom mount or strutrod.

Those strut rod eliminators just don't do it for me. Probably fine for a car that only sees a couple of thousand miles of weekend cruising a year, but whatever I put on my car would have to stand up to the rigors of hard, daily driving, and I'd expect it to last at least 100,000 miles without needing any major work, and that's driving over rail road tracks, speed bumps, you name it, every single day. Those look like a weak point.

    Hello :
I installed a RC107 Coilover setup on a 75 Comet last year and everything fit just fine. I tweaked the motor mounts a bit and added a couple of braces where I thought I might need them and I also reinforced a couple of other areas to the sub-frame connectors we also installed. I can recommend the kit and the people. They are very knowledgeable and helpful and KNOW Mavericks. I built my own Kit 10 years ago for another Comet , but if this kit was available THEN .. I would have it on THAT car.
Look on page 16 of Mustangs and Modified Fords magazine (This issue)for their ad showing the kit . Everything is there including the BOLTS and NUTS which are not shown . This kit also has power steering and the shaft for your connections. I'm going to bring both of these cars to the NPD All Ford Show in Ocala , Florida in the first week of January of next
year if anyone is interested in getting a closer look :thumbs2: Cometized CAMEO

Its just that the header is right in the way.
I guess I could have the header custom made so it would be a straighter shot. It's just the headders alone were $500.00 and I didn't want to cut them.
Im sure it would be the same with any other kit because the motor and headders are so big.
