    Ingnition switch

Anybody know where I can find instructions or schematic on removing the switch? A mechanic friend told me that if the key cylinder is turning fine when its out, that it might be the switch and I might want to check it. I also read in here that it could be gummed up, either way, the switch doesn't appear obvious to me. the only thing I see is to pull out all the guts on the top side of the column (as shown in the "key cylinder" picture earlier).

The switch is at the base of the steering column - only the key cylinder is at the top.

By " at the base of the column" do you mean under the assemblies (blinker control and hazard lights) shown in the picture attached?
