New starter

    Hi everyone!

    I need a new starter for m'y 73' Mav, 302, automatic transmission, engine has been modified.
    I've found many on the web, but how can I be sure to get one it will fit right?
    I'd like to buy a powerfull one but not to expensive.
    Thank you for your help.

    I was going to suggest you just go to your local auto parts store, but then I saw where you were from. :(

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Be certain that the person you deal with knows and understands that the starters are different for an automatic and a standard shift trans. Then be certain you get one for an automatic. If the seller tells you there is no difference, find another seller. Good luck!!!

    There are no sellers in France for that kind of part. That's why I will buy on the web.
