I would assume that this beast has a C6 behind it? I transplanted the front section of a larger 72 tunnel into my 70 for more room. Maybe you could do the same thing with a front of a Torino, Montego, LTD etc tunnel - something that was designed to clear a C6. Then blend it back into the driveshaft area of the tunnel
I thought about it. You can get the bellhousing now with no trouble. I think when I put the clip in I put it in about an inch higher than usual since a couple guys have fit in a c6 with a stock tunnel
the grinder and sawzall were useful yet again. I about have everything to clear, pics will be up tomorrow
not really. when I pit the clip in, I put it about 2 inches to deep into the framerails and it threw the driveline and transmission angle off bad. I wanted it to have full travel on the uca and didn;t take into consideration that it woud squat and didn't need the downward travel. I may cut the clip out and redo it later but I don't have a lot of time now and I would rather fool with the 65 mustang or my ls1 camaro. The only advice I can give is to buy an aftermarket crossmember that will fit the car because there is a ton of cutting to get a factory one to fit
MY GAWD BUBBLES, WHAT HAVE STARTED TO FRIGGIN CREATE ! ( lol ) Should be really cool when you get it done.
