Installed some 6 X 9's in the rear deck and a 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch sub, a 3001-P Rockford Fosgate amp in da trunk (both R/F pieces were free, found in a house I am painting) so now got a little thump in case I want to see an action movie, just love hearing explosions on it, also installed an emergency brake assembly as I had none at all and figure it would be easier with the M/C out right now.

Got a few more parts. Got a set of new 6901s for 75 bucks. 95 ho engine made its first try in the engine bay. Every thing fit except the a/c compressor got out have to move it to the other side of the engine later this week going to try trans and new cross member with it. Every step on building this car has been one fab after another. Thanks again to all the game crew that has helped us out so much on this build.

now that it sounds like you may have it I meant to ask a silly question just to through out a idea but now I have 2. I do not remember all the details of your problems but.
    1) with the last master cylinder why did you need adaptors is it possible you got a dual drum master?
    2) if I remember correctly you redid all your lines is the one coming from the front brakes going to the firewall end of the master cylinder or is it possible they got hooked up backwards?
    Just throwing out ideas.

    1) Ok lets go back in time a bit and see if I can clear this up, the very first master cylinder I got for it was for supposedly* a 1975 with front disc, at that time I had to change the fittings on my lines so it would hook up, I thought I had to do that because of the year differences, as you may know that master worked too well because of the 1/4 inch longer rod**, the second m/c I got was supposedly for a 1976 with front disc, there was a difference, seems the rear hole was a tiny bit larger than on the first m/c, it had an adapter with it that was the correct size, well it was just a bad m/c, would build pressure only when pumped and when released and hit again, would go to the floor, so the third m/c was the same year as the second, fit with no issues but would build no pressure at all, even when pumped, nothing, the fourth m/c was supposedly for a 1975 with front disc but again an issue with fitament and I adapted this time the front hole was larger***, again would build no pressure at all, the last and hopefully final m/c, well it had to have adapters in both holes, the rear hole was like the second just a bit larger and the front was like the fourth, with a larger front hole.
Now I will try and explain *
    * The first I was told was more than likely boxed wrong and was not for a 1975 at all, thus starting me on the changing the fittings to get it to "fit".

** I was told the longer rod was for a drum to drum m/c and I agree to that because of the longer stroke that m/c had, 1/2 inch longer plunger cylinder than any other I had, but I don't understand that because the drum to drum m/c, well don't they have the same size reservoirs for front and back? that m/c had two different sized reservoirs like a disc to drum one.

*** This m/c is I believe the one that was correct all along and was supposed to be the first one for a 1975 with disc, seems I remember changing both fittings, those fittings I took off would have fit this m/c.

    *** explains the 2) question.

    Disclaimer:
Ok I don't claim to know if any of the information regarding different master cylinders contained herein is correct, it is only speculation on my part as to correct year of m/c or components thereof, this information is not reliable as to what m/c you may need for your application as applications may vary, please consult your dealer for proper application and fitament issues, or you can do like I did and depend on the guy behind the parts counter punching computer buttons to know what he is looking at, and if you are lucky enough to find the guy at the parts house that does know what he is doing, you may not be lucky enough to find the parts vendor has the knowledge to have the correct part matched to the correct number you order.
Good Day! :tiphat: and Good Luck! :D
