    Exactly the same repair that I had to do on both sides of my cowl - buying Mustang reproduction parts, I had less than a hundred into it when it was done :)

    It looks like you still have a little surface corrosion to the left of your drivers side vent ring repair. I had the same and some were actually little pin holes. Instead of replacing that section, I used a putty knife with JD Weld and it made a nice rock hard coating. Then 2 coats of Rust Bullet over everything completely sealed it off. I used a flash light under my cowl and looked for any light shining through on the cowl top, it revealed those pin holes and anything else that I missed :)

    I cleaned it up some more after I took the picture. And I used the light trick. No holes on the drivers side, but found 3 more areas on the passenger side.

    Ok took some half way pics squeezing under that tight space on ground. I see a trans mount in my pic but not yours huh:hmmm:

    used up all my space for pics when I figure it out ill post pics

    Ok let me in on the confusion. WHAT TRANS ARE YOU RUNNING? I can see you have a gear/vendor hooked up. Where is the trans mount? Have you driven the car with the overdrive or is it just mocked up for now?

    it is a...C-4...
    I pulled the trans mount so the unit could drop down to service the fluid...this was at mock up.
    yes I have driven the car with the unit installed...:thumbs2:
    here it is bolted up...

    Thanks I feel better now. What gear do you run? Not that it matters or whether you care Im a Georgia boy born in Marietta been in Va since 79
