If the crank is sound,it should be able to be turned 30/30 with no problem.

If it's trans fluid,sounds like the snout on the converter is worn.Engine oil,rear main seal.Also check for cracks on the converter.

They don't offer a hood stripe kit for a 70,just the sides.Phoenix Graphix also only offers the sides,and no hood.
All thats needed is to swap over to the older style timing cover,and the use of a fuel pump eccentric.(either a 1 pc.or 2 pc.)
